Step 1: Prepare the Surface
Ensure that the surface you are working on is clean and free from any loose debris. It's recommended to wash and dry the surface before applying the Mint ProTools DA Microfibre Cutting Pad 6".
Step 2: Choose the Appropriate Compound
Select a suitable cutting compound or polish according to the type of surface you are working on. Consult the product manual or seek professional advice to determine the best compound for your specific application.
Step 3: Apply the Compound
Squeeze a small amount of the cutting compound onto the Mint ProTools DA Microfibre Cutting Pad 6". Start with a conservative amount and apply more as needed. Spread the compound evenly across the pad.
Step 4: Prime the Pad
Before starting the machine, prime the pad by dabbing it onto the surface. This helps distribute the compound and ensures even coverage.
Step 5: Set the Speed and Start Polishing
Set the polishing machine to an appropriate speed for the task at hand. Begin with a lower speed and gradually increase if necessary. Place the Mint ProTools DA Microfibre Cutting Pad 6" on the surface and activate the machine.
Step 6: Overlap and Maintain Pressure
Work in small sections and make overlapping passes with the pad. Apply even pressure to the surface, but avoid excessive pressure that may cause damage. Keep the pad flat and parallel to the surface for optimal results.
Step 7: Clean and Inspect the Pad
Periodically clean the Mint ProTools DA Microfibre Cutting Pad 6" by using a pad brush or compressed air to remove any residue. Inspect the pad for wear and tear, and replace if necessary for continued performance.
Step 8: Final Touches
After completing the polishing process, wipe off any remaining compound or residue from the surface using a clean microfibre towel. Inspect the results and repeat the process if further refinement is desired.
