The yellow foam pad is specifically designed for removing light swirls, holograms, and fine scratches from painted surfaces. At 180mm in size, this pad is the perfect fit for use with the LHR21E Bigfoot Random Orbital Polisher. Step 1: Prepare Your Equipment
Ensure that your RUPES LHR75 polisher is set up with the appropriate backing plate, and that the yellow polishing pad is properly aligned with the backing plate.
Step 2: Apply Polishing Compound
Apply a small amount of polishing compound onto the center of the yellow polishing pad. Be careful not to apply too much, as this can lead to excess product buildup and potential damage to the pad.
Step 3: Prime the Pad
Before using the pad on your vehicle, it's important to "prime" the pad. This involves running the polisher at a low speed (1-2 on the LHR75) and spreading the compound evenly across the surface of the pad.
Step 4: Begin Polishing
Starting with a small section of your vehicle, apply the yellow polishing pad to the surface using the LHR75 polisher. Use a slow, steady back-and-forth motion to work the compound into the paint. Increase the speed gradually to achieve the desired level of correction.
Step 5: Clean the Pad
After several sections have been polished, check the pad for excess buildup of compound or other debris. Clean the pad with a pad cleaning brush or compressed air to ensure optimal performance.
Step 6: Repeat as Needed
Continue polishing additional sections of the vehicle as needed, repeating steps 2-5 as necessary to achieve the desired level of correction and shine.
Step 7: Finishing Up
After all desired sections have been polished, clean the pad thoroughly and store it in a dry, cool place for future use.
